The incumbent MUST be willing to travel to Mogadishu once in a while.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Implement the annual audit work plans for all financial systems to ensure compliance.

· Undertake specific audit tests & procedures to determine the effectiveness & efficiency of financial systems.

· Appraise the prudence of accounting, financial, business process and other operating controls.

· Prepare comprehensive audit working papers & audit reports to ensure that internal audit quality & standards are observed.

· Undertakes audits on revenue and expenditures from time to time to ensure controls are maintained all the time.

· Conducts follow-up audits with Auditee to determine whether appropriate action has been taken on areas audited.

· Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and make recommendations on areas requiring improvement.

· Analysis and forecasting work in conjunction with Head of Reporting & Analysis.

· Other financial analysis and administrative support to Head of Corporate Reporting and Analysis.

· Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualification;

· Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

· Must have professional qualifications (ACCA/CIA/CPA).

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience through public accounting/auditing and/or industry experience.

· Advanced computer skills on accounting software and databases.

· Ability to perform detailed data analytics, make appropriate conclusions & compile detailed reports.

· Knowledge of enterprise risk management and internal controls.

· Self – motivated, discipline and effective team player.

· Excellent written and spoken English.

· Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

· High integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
