The Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya, (ADAK) invites applications from qualified candidates for the following vacant positions:-

Vacancy No. ADAK/1/2/2018

Number of Posts: One (1)

Position: Testing Officer, Grade ADAK 7

Salary Scale: 70,350-96,600 p.m

(a) Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will entail: –

(i) collecting information on sports activities from sports organizations for testing purposes;

(ii) gathering information on sports persons’ whereabouts for testing;

(iii) capturing data for Registered Testing Pool into Anti-Doping Administration and Management System (ADAMS);

(iv) generating and issuing mission order(s) for testing;

(v) preparing testing equipment and materials;

(vi) storing equipment and materials for doping control process safely:

(vii) identifying, arranging and maintaining an appropriate Doping Control station;

(viii) implementing doping control process; and

(ix) capturing and storing data from doping control process into ADAMS.

(b) Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

(i) Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Physical Education, Sports Science or Leisure and Recreation Management from a recognized institution;

OR

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management from a recognized institution;

OR

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Education (Sciences) or Pharmacy with a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

(ii) A Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution and

(iii) Knowledge and competence in the use of ADAMS will be an added advantage.

Candidates interested in the above positions are expected to fulfill the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010. They must obtain and submit with their application copies of clearance certificates from the following organizations: –

(i) Kenya Revenue Authority

(ii) Higher education loans board

(iii) Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission.

(iv) Criminal Investigation Department (Certificate of Good Conduct)

(iv) Credit Reference Bureau.
