Our client seeks to hire a highly experienced Finance Manager who will be tasked with the Hotel’s financial operations, reporting to the CEO
Qualification Level: Bachelor

Experience Length: 5 years
Our client is a highend and exclusive hotel located in Mogadishu that provides hotel services to members of International NGOs, UN agencies, and major government consultancies. They seek to hire a highly experienced Finance Manager who will be tasked with the Hotel’s financial operations, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer
Location: Mogadishu, Somalia
Gross Salary: 250 – 350K
Responsibilities for the Finance Manager Job
Develop all financial reports, oversee the end-to-end budgeting process, ensure timely payments to suppliers and employees and manage cash and control stock.
Improve the function’s processes and policies and manage a small team of accountants.
Ensure expenditures are within budget
Perform monthly bank reconciliation, record journal entries and issue supplier invoices and process payment to suppliers
Disburse and manage cash to employees needed for operational expenditures
Manage capital expenditures and run monthly depreciation schedules and ensure right level of cash is maintained in all bank accounts
Oversee monthly stock audit, calculate and record inventory shrinkage & receivable write off
To participate in ad-hoc projects.
To pro-actively seek out high yielding opportunities for capital investment.
To assist in the feasibilities and track the benefits.
To continually strive to eliminate avoidable costs across and deliver a quality financial service at least cost.
Develop divisional P&L as well as monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow)
Issue donor reports and perform tax filing and issue statutory reports
To oversee the operation and to ensure the financial integrity of the financial control systems throughout the organization. To review performance against agreed standards, analyze results and suggest and implement improvements
To lead on financial fraud prevention and detection and to annually report on such matters
To ensure compliance with all legislative requirements relating
to financial matters
To manage and maintain fixed asset and depreciation records
To implement recommendations on the operation of the control systems and other matters by Internal and External Auditors. Further, to work with Internal and External
Finance Manager Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Economics/ Accounting or similar field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
5 years of experience in Finance
At least 2-years direct line management experience in a hotel industry
Track record in managing teams of accountants
Outstanding organizational and co-ordination abilities
Experience working with hotel finance systems and processes
Experience of preparing and presenting financial information to the Board and senior management
Have strong business acumen, managerial and communications skills.
Excellent time management skills & detail oriented
