The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, be a CPA(K) holder with at least 2 years’ experience in the retail sector and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Enter all financial transaction details into accounting system on real time basis.
Examine financial statements to ensure they’re accurate & comply with the relevant laws and regulations.
Inspect financial operations and make recommendations for ways to cut costs & best practices.
Develop financial strategies based on business goals & market trends to identify ways to increase company revenue.
Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls
Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others
Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management
Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward
Undertaking any ad hoc duties assigned by management.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
Must be a CPA(K) holder.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in retail is preferred.
Ability to apply knowledge of accepted accounting principles & cost accounting standards.
Analytical approach: problem solving skills.

Strong communication and decision making skills.
Excellent knowledge of computer and database/spreadsheet software.
Knowledge of retailing standards and procedures.
Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
Understanding financial and non-financial business results.
Work in special projects as required
Any other duties as assigned by management.
Monthly Gross Salary: Kshs. 40, 000 – 50,000/= Gross (Approx. 400- 500 USD) depending on skills and experience.
