Post-deal end-to-end partner management as well as own the P&L impact of each partner, manage product integrations and lead co-marketing efforts with large partners to drive awareness and activations.
Communicate (physical visits, email, calls, social media) with restaurants to demonstrate Jumia Food’s product offering
Attend restaurant and food conferences
Translate partner success requirements to product, marketing and operations teams and drive execution to completion
Set, track and report on partner performance metrics
Drive partner strategy and engagement based on data-driven findings
Lead contract renegotiations to establish a strong working partnership grounded on sustainable economics for both parties
Evaluate strategic and partnership opportunities, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses
You must be comfortable with targeting new restaurants businesses there by having effective communication and a natural flare for sales and friendly personality
You must be willing to explore new business models suited to the business and the customers
Ability to launch and test new business models and build case studies to prove the viability of the new business
You need to be comfortable with data analysis, after all data is your best friend!
Able to bring on board relevant partnerships outside of the main core business that can boost customer experience and drive overall growth
Experience in digital marketing is a plus and ability to use tools and best practises to drive efficiencies within the business
Exemplary communication and negotiation skills whether face to face, through phone or email
Ability to persuasively demonstrate product and industry knowledge to clients a must
Ability to think strategically and merge business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals
Knowledge of the restaurant industry a major plus
You must be tenacious and self motivated
A minimum of 4 years of proven success in business development, partnerships or equivalent role but we will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
Have a competitive edge and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to work autonomously. Be very organized and communicate well
Professional proficiency in English. Swahili and any other language is a plus
