Qualifications:

Diploma in Pharmacy or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing or related field.
Exceptional Health Care industry knowledge.
Good contacts with the pharmaceutical industry will be required.

Excellent leader with clear and concise communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff, clients and consultants.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving and creative skills.
Analytical skills; attention to detail. Able to work on contractual agreements.
Self-motivated.

Experience:

Substantial sales and marketing experience of not less than 7 years within Health Care environment in East Africa.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Business Development Manager main role is to identify and capture new clients. He/She will further recruit, train and manage sales forces as well as represent client companies and IMS at the highest levels with customers such as doctors, wholesalers, pharmacies, hospitals, governmental organizations and professional bodies.

Other duties includes:-

1. New business Development

Prospect for potential new clients, and their decision makers and turn this into increased business.
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining and leveraging network.

2. Client Retention

Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

3. Strategic Business Development Planning

Attend Industry functions, such as association events and conferences and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products and distribution channels.
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the Company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Identify FMCG opportunities relative to the imperial strategy

Identify Road Freight , Distribution, Warehousing and clearing & forwarding opportunities relative to the Imperial strategy

4. Sales Management

Manage sales team
Drive sales targets

5. Customer Satisfaction

Regular and structured customer visits across East Africa.

6. Participate in management of the business.

7. Represent management to internal and external clients and customers.

Salary: Kshs. 230,000 – 300,000 plus generous company benefits
