Our client, a well-established company dealing with Animal Health Products and Services is looking for an Accountant for their office in Nairobi.
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor
Experience Level: Mid level
Experience Length: 5 years
The successful candidate will ensure accurate, timely recording and reconciliation of farmer’s accounts, bank reconciliation, maintaining and updating the fixed asset register.
Ensure individual account reconciliations are done on regular basis to support records and payments.
Ensure the cheque payment vouchers are accurately raised and coded.
Ensure that accounts postings are done on time, all documents collected and payments done as per the payment plan.
Liaise with contract department to ensure all documents and information relating to farmers is up to date.
Ensure that feed reconciliations are done on weekly basis.
Ensure that bank account (specific) is reconciled to the company ledgers immediately after closure.
Maintain an up to date fixed assets register that identifies all fixed assets held by the company.
Maintain detailed records of cost, depreciation, disposals additions and supporting documents.
Maintain a record of all approved CAPEX additions and disposal forms for future reference.
Prepare all journal vouchers relating to movements in fixed asset records.
Preparation of monthly VAT accounts and timely filing of the VAT returns.
Must have undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounting.
Knowledge in Navision will be an added advantage.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Must have good people management and good problem solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Good planning and organisational skills.
A high level of integrity, reliability, Accountability and Adaptability.
Monthly Gross Salary: Kshs 80,000 (Approx. 800 USD)
Position Level: Junior Level.
Location: Nairobi, Kenya.
