The Major duties of the Sales Director will include but not limited to the following:
Seeking out major clients and forming working relationships with the premier buyers in your industry.
Overseeing and managing a large team of Sales Managers, typically spanning a wide geographical area.
Identifying valuable emerging markets.
Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace.
Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions.
Maximizing company profit.
Foreseeing and avoiding stagnation in the marketplace.
Forming sales strategies to keep your company competitive and innovative.
Qualifications and skills;
Bachelors or Masters in Strategic Sales, Sales and Marketing or related field.
Above 6 years experience in related field preferably in a similar position.
An expert negotiator.
Excellent people skills.
Have a passion for numbers.
Strong business sense and the ability to forecast major shifts in the market place.
Ability to handle stress well.
Ability to be a good mentor or coach.
Ability to travel on a regular basis.
Up to date on matters of the sales profession through industrial events and/or certification courses
