DEPARTMENT: DISPATCH CHILLER, THIKA PROCESSING PLANT

SALARY: 70K-80K

Overall Purpose of the Job:

Ensuring that safe custody of processed chicken stocks and third party products through monitoring and controlling the movement of stocks and make sure are posted accurately into the system to facilitate stock control, truck turn around, efficiency of dispatch and maintain an up to date record of the stock transactions and balances of the same.

Specific duties& Responsibilities.

Adhere to all Food Safety Regulations while carrying out stores work including temperatures monitoring as per customers requirements.
Ensure that all the incoming and outgoing PC stocks have been verified physically and that all entered into the system.
Assist in supervising and monitoring the stock movement from the production to the point of sale(Dispatching to the trucks)
Ensure all Nairobi trucks are dispatched fully by 6.00 am and all upcountry trucks by 9.00 are and ensuring that there is NO short supplies.
Liaise with the sales and production team to make sure that the customer’s sales order is fully supplied.
Record movement for each category of processed chicken into the manual bin cards and ensure the same agrees with the systems stock ledger.
Ensure that the processed chicken in the store is neatly arranged on basis of product and FIFO to facilitate efficient and accurate physical stock counts anytime when need arises, specifically, stock counts will be done every month.
At all times assist in checking and confirm that the physical stocks agree with the stocks records i.e. both the stock ledger and bin cards .Carry out random checks to identify any variances.
Receive the client’s projection from the sales team and reconcile the physical quantities in stock and the demand and communicate to production the difference between the demand and what is in stock physically so that the production team can produce what is needed only.
10. With the authorization of the Stores Manager or in his absence, verify physical returns from the clients in the presence of the security office and quality assurance manager, sign all the credits notes as a proof that the stock have been increased physically.
Always ensure that a product dispatched meets the hygiene standards as per ISO Certification.
Ensure products from the storage area have been assembled a day before ready to be dispatched the following day.Coordiantes with assembling and dispatch staff on customers order assembly in order to achieve customers services standards.
Capture short supply on daily basis from the customer order list and produce a short supply report detailing reasons why there was short supply.
As a back with the Store’s manager, attend the production and sales meeting in order to represent the finance stores operations.
Adherence to Kenchic’s FSSC/QSA/FSA/GMP/Hygiene Practices
Implementation of KAIZEN System and Standards.
Ensure on day to day basis that the dispatch chiller stocks physical balances are verified before and after dispatch to ensure the shelf life for products are rotated as per the FIFO and those further processed products balances are communicated clearly to production.
Participating in any other duties that shall be reasonably assigned by management from time to time.
