REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANTS
The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Judicial Performance Improvement Project (JPIP), being implemented by the Judiciary of the Republic of Kenya and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under Consulting Services.
The consulting Services of Individual Consultants as listed below will be for a period of two years renewable annually based on need, performance and budget. The Terms of Reference for Individual Consultants can be obtained from the Judiciary Website at the following link www.judiciary.go.ke/tenders

THE DIRECTORATE OF BUILDING SERVICES
TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. ARCHITECT- 1
The Architect will assist the Senior Architect in the following tasks;
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
i. Assist in coordinating all the work of design, preparation of working drawings, land surveys and supervision of new buildings and rehabilitation/maintenance construction works.
ii. Help in formulation of design standards, and administrative and operational procedures concerning implementation and maintenance projects.
iii. Assist in liaison with client Judiciary directorates and courts on all aspects of their development and maintenance projects.
iv. Advising on the standard of Judiciary accommodations.
v. Assist in supervising the work of staff in the architectural section, including private consultants engaged by the Directorate.
Qualifications and Experience:
The candidate must have:-
a) A degree in Architecture and must be registered as an Architect with a relevant professional body.
b) A minimum of 3 Years post-graduation and 1 year post registration experience will be required.
c) Must have experience in coordinating the work of design, preparation of working drawings, land surveys and supervision of new buildings and rehabilitation/maintenance construction works, and supervising personnel responsible for such work, including private consultants.
d) Good communication and Project Management skills and experience
e) Computer technical skills (these would include AutoCAD, Arch CAD, Adobe Photoshop, Sketch Up, 3d
Studio VIZ or similar, MS Word, Excel, MS Project, etc.).
f) Portfolio to demonstrate skills and experience.
g) Interpersonal skills and experience working in and leading teams.
h) Experience in working in a World Bank funded infrastructure projects will be an added advantage
The Judiciary now invites eligible individuals to express their interest in providing the services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications, capacity and relevant experience to perform the services.

All applicants should provide current details (mobile number and email) of at least 2 referees who should be registered professionals involved in their two most recent projects. Applications for the Architects and Engineers posts must include colour attachments of their Project Portfolios.
