Job Description

Our client is one of the leading ethical Clothing Factories in the world producing womenwear for export. Within the next 18 month, the Company aims to build a purpose built eco-factory in Kilifi to grow the Company. They are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to join the team and push this project from conception to completion. The Successful candidate will oversee the planning and construction of the new factory building by coordinating design processes, planning, monitoring, supervising, providing technical support and managing the process from start to finish. The ideal candidate Must have handled Construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote the values, culture and ethos of the company and ensure this is core to every area of work and interaction with other team members.
Represent the company’s overall business strategies and work to implement and effect change in the daily work environment.
Recruit new teams and instill in new employees the values, culture and ethos of the organization.
Manage smooth relocation of employees and ensure clear communication and support in the relocation.
Create detailed budget and timeline for the factory build and ensure the project those parameters are maintained.
Ensure a high level of fiscal control and accountability for the projected budget.
Project manage new factory build from inception to completion, to a tight timeframe.
Create and manage multiple critical paths and projects and ensure health and safety standards are set in place and adhered to.
Create all systems and procedures for the set up and smooth running of growth.
Determine what permits, licenses and approvals are required from appropriate authorities and ensure they are in place in a timely manner.
Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met.
Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to ensure transparency.
Supervise the work of labourers, mechanics and give them guidance when needed.
Manage purchasing of all internal factory equipment to include office equipment and production manufacturing equipment.
Negotiate and manage contracts with external parties.
Build strong relationships with all parties to include architect, solicitor, contractor, government authorities, local chiefs, community members.


Must have an Engineering Degree.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
Must have over 4 years of project management experience in construction projects.
