Position Summary

Working closely with the Relationship Teams in branches in ensuring that non-performing loans are fully repaid as stipulated in the terms and conditions to prevent loss to the institution due to non-repayment.

Position Requirements

· Degree in any business course will be desired.

· 2-3 years’ experience in the same role , preferably in a microfinance or credit institutions

· They must have managed a team.

· Must have relevant experience in financial services to organized groups.

· Excellent negotiation, financial management, computer and communication skills

Reports to: General Manager

Supervises: Supervises a team of AT LEAST six

Essential Duties

To collect the non-performing portfolio allocated in accordance with the law and the company’s policy.
Will be evaluating risk assessment for every prospective client
Will be managing their own and the team’s portfolio, including disbursement and collection.
Prepare recommendations for further recovery procedures for approval.
Issue reminders, notices and summons to and to follow up on recovery procedures as per the company’s policy
To provide advice and assistance to the client in writing, by telephone, visitations (on need-basis) and/or in person.
Preparing reports on daily recoveries as per allocated portfolio and weekly collections to be submitted at the end of every week.
Liaise with branches to ensure recovered amounts deposited/credited into debtor’s accounts and follow ups on promises are made.
Liaise with branches to facilitate debtor’s visits for follow ups and location of defaulting clients’ place of work, business and/or place of residence.
Daily collection of loans based on non-performing loan book classification namely Substandard, Doubtful & Loss and maintain the P.A.R at the set targets.
Attend team meetings always without fail where invited including MPR, ALCO, MCC
Adhering to set rules, loan terms, credit policies and procedures to ensure 100% compliance and zero fraud incidences. AVOID PICKING CASH FROM CLIENTS.
