Wamo Relief And Rehabilitation Service
Ø In collaboration with the WRRS protection team and other local actors provide technical leadership related to implementation of GBV/Protection project.
Ø Ensure essentials life saving GBV services including comprehensive case management and psychosocial support is available in line with international standards and closely monitored.
Ø Collaborate closely with WRRS, government and other NGOs health staff to promote the clinical care for sexual assault survivors in line with WHO protocols.
Ø Ensure safe and ethical data collection storage and sharing the GBVIMS using standard forms and database and monitoring adherence to inter agency information sharing protocols.
Ø Implement evidence informed community based GBV prevention and risk reduction strategies including evidence based community mobilization strategies based protection mechanism, educational opportunities where applicable
Ø Create and follow up Monitoring and Evaluation plans, work plans and spending plans to ensure timely and quality implememntation of the work plan coordination with other staffs
Ø Write project progress and final reports of the activities
Ø Meaningfully engage other partners, community members, particularly women and girls in all the aspects of the project design, implementation and maintain inclusivity.
Capacity and strengthening Human resource
Ø Facilitate workshops and staff meetings for the WRRS protection team to ensure GBV project meets best practice standards and prioritizes the safety and security of beneficiaries and staff .
Ø Supervise case management staff to ensure client-centered case management and psychosocial support services in line with international guidelines through one-on-one supervision, case consultations, observational exercises, and other regular mentoring and debriefing exercises
Ø Debrief with prevention and awareness raising staff at least twice per month to assess community mobilization and communication skills and topics of focus
Ø Participate in the regional GBV/Protection cluster meetings
Ø Monitor and provide objective feedback related to staff performance, including completing staff performance evaluations to promote growth and professional.
Ø Utilizing the IASC GBV guidelines collaborate with all the clusters to ensure a coordinated prevention and risk reduction intervention is integrated within the each cluster strategy activities.
Ø Assist in building strong working relationships with relevant government ministries to address women issues and GBV appropriately national policies, laws and guidelines.
Required Skills and Experience
Ø Bachelors Degree required in Community Development, social work public health or other Related fie deg. Gender studies, psychology preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Ø Knowledge of Somalia context and more specifically Somalia language
Ø Minimum 3 years experience in the same field and especially working in Somalia and atleast 1 year managing a GBV prevention and response project in emergeny and post conflict environments
Ø Thorough understanding of counseling and psychosocial support principles and skills and ability to adapt psychosocial skills to cultural context; counseling experience preferred
Ø Experience in participatory methods for community education and mobilization
Ø Diplomacy and assertiveness; the ability to confront and discuss sensitive issues with respect
Ø Excellent communication skills, with good spoken and written English
Ø Excellent report writing, research, documentation, and presentation skills

Ø Ability to live and productively work in insecure, unstable and/or harsh environments
Ø Ability to work remotely in coordinating GBV interventions across multiple sites
Ø Must be able to work independently while being a strong team player with proven supervisory skills
Ø Additional qualities: flexibility, cultural and environmental sensitivity, and abilities to multitask, handle pressure well, and improvise
Ø Familiar with the issues and cultures in Somalia, and ability to interact with people at all levels, individually and/or in groups
