Duties and responsibilities
v Assess the presence of application of the GBV guiding principles and basic capacity to respond to the needs of GBV survivors in the program areas
v Coordinate with government, local and international NGOs, UN agencies and other stakeholders to ensure holistc support for survivors, including in developing/strengthening GBV standard operating principles (especially health actors), information sharing protocols and comprehensive referral pathways that incorporate multiple sectors in the context
v Builds the capacity of the actors in other sectors to respond to the needs of GBV survivors
v Support implementation of the WRRS Project to undertake robust community outreach activities on GBV prevention, mitigation and response
v Provide technical support for GBV related assessments, monitoring and evaluation activities based on WHO Ethical and Safety Recommendations for Researching, Documenting and Monitoring Sexual Violence in Emergencies and also in the project area among other appropriate guidance
v Support the installation of a GBV IMS to help monitor GBV cases in the project area
v Lead donor reporting on GBV prevention and response in support of the livelihood project.
Requirements for the Position
v University degree in Social Sciences or related field;
v Minimum of 4 years work experience in a similar field;
v Fluent in written and spoken Somali and English;
v Proficiency in MS Office Suite;
v Team leadership and management skills;
v Very good analytical and organization skills;
v Confirmed capacity to work independently;
v Confirmed knowledge of the area of responsibility
v Should be a Somali national.
